Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October is known as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease.
The pink ribbon is the most prominent symbol of breast cancer awareness, people wear pink ribbons to honor survivors, remember those lost to the disease, and to support the progress we are making together to defeat breast cancer.
Wearing a pink ribbon, or a pink outfit, is a simple way to express moral support for those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
This is the most symbolic type of flower behind breast cancer awareness month. Pink carnations are given to all breast cancer survivors and those who are navigating treatment for you and who isn’t. At the same time, they also symbolize love, particularly maternal love.
